CVE-2026-44801 Critical KB5094123 5094123 09/06/2026
CVE-2026-44801 Critical N/D Use after free in Remote Desktop Client allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. According to the CVSS metric, the attack complexity is high (AC:H). What does that mean for this vulnerability? Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires an attacker to take additional actions prior to exploitation to prepare the target environment. How could an attacker exploit this vulnerability? In the case of a Remote Desktop connection, an attacker with control of a Remote Desktop Server could trigger a remote code execution (RCE) on the machine when a victim connects to the attacking server with the vulnerable Remote Desktop Client. 09/06/2026

CVE-2026-44803 Critical KB5094123 5094123 09/06/2026
CVE-2026-44803 Critical N/D Integer overflow or wraparound in Windows Win32K - GRFX allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code locally. Are the updates for Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel for Android currently available? Yes. As of June 15, 2026, the security update for Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel for Android are available. Customers running Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel for Android should ensure the update is installed to be protected from this vulnerability. According to the CVSS metric, the attack vector is local (AV:L). Why does the CVE title indicate that this is a remote code execution? The word Remote in the title refers to the location of the attacker. This type of exploit is sometimes referred to as Arbitrary Code Execution (ACE). The attack itself is carried out locally. This means an attacker or victim needs to execute code from the local machine to exploit the vulnerability. According to the CVSS metric, user interaction is required (UI:R). What interaction would the user have to do? Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires the user to view a specially crafted file in the Windows File Explorer Preview Pane or open said file. 09/06/2026

CVE-2026-44810 Critical KB5094128 5094128 09/06/2026
CVE-2026-44810 Critical N/D Improper authentication in Windows Cryptographic Services allows an unauthorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. How could an attacker exploit this vulnerability? To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would first have to log on to the system. An attacker could then run a specially crafted application that could exploit the vulnerability and take control of an affected system. Additionally, an attacker could convince a local user to open a malicious file. The attacker would have to convince the user to click a link, typically by way of an enticement in an email or instant message, and then convince them to open the specially crafted file. What privileges could be gained by an attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability? An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could gain SYSTEM privileges. 09/06/2026

CVE-2026-44815 Critical KB5094123 5094123 09/06/2026
CVE-2026-44815 Critical N/D What can customers do to mitigate this vulnerability? Customers can reduce exposure by keeping the DHCP Client service enabled while avoiding use of the DhcpGetOriginalSubnetMask API. In this scenario, a malicious DHCP server may provide crafted data, but the data is not used unless that API is called. To help reduce exposure, customers can: Keep the DHCP Client service enabled so systems can continue to obtain network configuration normally. Review applications or components that call the DhcpGetOriginalSubnetMask API. Update or reconfigure those applications to avoid calling the API where possible. Follow vendor or product guidance for any updates that address this behavior. 09/06/2026
